From 20/Jan (Sat),

the first batch of first generation Octopus will automatically become invalid

Card numbers of the first generation Octopus do not carry brackets; the relevant cardholders will also receive a special tone and reminder when touching in or out and using enquiry machine respectively

Passengers should visit Octopus Service Points near different stations or any Customer Service Centre, Airport Express counters to replace your first generation Octopus as soon as possible before the expire date

Online registrations are, however, required for Personalised Octopus cardholders as their new cards will need to be reprinted
