From 19/Dec (Wed),

Railway Vision type passenger information displays will be added to the concourse of North Point, Tiu King Leng, Tseung Kwan O and LOHAS Park Station after Lantau Airport Railway and East Rail Line

These displays will permanently display the departure time of four upcoming trains and emergency notices like evacuation order when necessary

From 10/Dec (Mon) to 29/Mar/2019﹙Fri﹚,


the total travelling time of Kwun Tong Line on weekdays will increase 59 sec with one more train to serve the line for providing ~10000 people of extra capacity during morning peak hours except public holidays while scheduled service levels remain unchanged


Passengers may check the journey time with waiting, interchange, boarding and exiting time included on @citymapper application

To facilitate UNICEF Charity Run 2018,

Light Rail and #MTR Bus will gradually adopt new Octopus validators

New validators are equipped with colour displays to show your fares and remaining value with bigger texts

Passengers may also touch their Tuen Mun – Nam Cheong Day Pass or other Single Journey Smart Tickets onto validators at Light Rail Platforms in the future

Static tests have been carrying out onto Urban Lines Vision Trains since their arrival in early-2018

New carriages are only equipped with train borne computers of the new #AdvancedSeltrac signalling system therefore they are required to be driven in slow speed from Lantau Island to Tsuen Wan Depot through Lai King Centre Track

This is to enable new trains to test with the new signalling and improve the scheduled train service levels also the capacity of Tsuen Wan Line from late-2019 as estimated

From 1/Nov (Wed),

the Student Travel Scheme will enter Stage 2, meaning students who are yet to renew their “Student Status” must pay adult fares until the renewal application has been completed
