From Jul/2017,
High Capacity Lifts at Sai Ying Pun and HKU Stations will be suspended for a few days in turn to allow the manufacturer enable these lifts to :
✅ Keep the lift doors open before carrying passengers
✅ Stay on the last floor after carrying passengers
✅ Turn individual lifts into independent operation mode to convey passengers
and
✅ Let passengers evacuate from Concourse level when situation allows
until the enabling works have been finished
