東鐵綫
2 月 13 日（星期六）下午，紅磡站的道岔機（較剪位）故障，需改用人手操作。同時，控制中心於北行路軌上，實施單綫雙程行車。雖然道岔機曾一度修妥，但其後再告故障，最終由工程人員在收車後更換零件
2 月 14 日（星期日）下午，當中方城際列車 Z818 班車駛到上水站時，車站職員發現有乘客企近月台邊，因而按動緊急停車掣，再將該名乘客帶走。由於需等候中方城際列車司機，檢查機件是否運作正常，部分東鐵綫列車在中途站停止服務，以維持大埔區、新界南 以及 市區的列車服務

西鐵綫
2 月 14 日（星期日）黃昏，兩名乘客在紅磡站 6 號月台車頭跳落路軌。車站職員截停該站所有列車，以策安全。在確認闖入者已離開鐵路範圍後，列車服務恢復。恰巧，紅磡站的東鐵綫列車均未適時開出，因而未有一同受事件影響
East Rail Line
In the afternoon, 13/Feb（Sat）, a point malfunctioned at Hung Hom and required manual operations. At the same time, the Operations Control Centre applied two way traffic on the north bound track. Although the problem was initially fixed, another failure occurred later. Finally, technicians did a parts replacement in non-traffic hours
In the afternoon, 14/Feb（Sun）, station staff activated the Emergency Train Stop once they noticed a passenger was standing close the platform edge when Chinese Intercity Z818 service was approaching Sheung Shui Station. The passenger was then removed by station staff. Since the Chinese Intercity train’s driver conducted an inspection to confirm whether his train is working in good order, some East Rail Line trains were cancelled at intermediate stations to maintain train service at Tai Po, southern New Territories and the urban area

West Rail Line
In the dusk, 14/Feb（Sun）, 2 passengers jumped onto the track at the front portion of platform 6. Station staff stopped all train in the vicinity for safety reasons. Train services were then resumed when the trespassers left the railway premises. Fortunately, no East Rail Line trains were about to leave thus not affected by the said incident
