控制中心隨即指示技術員到場修理，並由車站職員將道岔鎖緊，讓頭班車可以順利開出
基於「被動安全」原則，當道岔位異常時便會切斷行車訊號，因此各班往堅尼地城的列車，需改用人手駕駛，以慢速駛過受影響範圍
及至早上八時許，列車服務陸續恢復正常，但期間亦有乘客於車廂內不適，而要求協助；因此我們亦按《事故發佈準則》，適時將事故分級
A set of points were unable to operate as usual near Causeway Bay Station at 0505 hours, 12/Sep（Mon）
Technicians were summoned by the Operations Control Centre immediately while station staff have locked and secured the sets of points for enabling the first train to depart smoothly
Based on the fail-safety basis, signals will be cordoned off during points abnormality. Kennedy Town bound trains were driven manually at slow speed when passing the area affected
Normal services were gradually resuming at 0800 in the morning, however there were passengers taken ill on train thus @mtrupdate classified the event accordingly by observing the Definitions of delays
