2 月 1 日(星期三)約 1510 時,沙田站的職員通知控制中心,指有一狗隻正於路軌上走到紅磡方向
控制中心隨即按《動物政策》的規定,安排受影響範圍的列車改用人手駕駛,以不高於 22 公里的時速前行,並召喚法定機構到場協助
同時,大圍站的職員亦按《動物政策》所示,向狗隻展示「藍色布幕」,以便將之驅離鐵路範圍,但狗隻一直跑向畢架山隧道,並走到旺角東站附近
當法定機構人員抵達現場時,固定狗隻的工具突然散開,狗隻於是再次沿路軌走入新界。及後在約 1730 時,狗隻在車站職員的引導下,經軌旁的緊急閘口離開
工程人員檢查 火炭 至 大圍 站路旁的圍欄後,並未發現損壞,懷疑狗隻從九號幹綫一個修路地盤中,堆疊高於圍欄的工程物料跳入路軌,而地盤負責人亦已答允將物件的高度降低
On 1/Feb (Wed), Operations Control Centre received a report from station staff at Sha Tin Station at around 1510 hours that a dog was spotted walking towards Hung Hom
The Operations Control Centre arranged trains to be driven manually with a speed lower than 22kph when approaching the area affected in accordance with the Animal Policy and then summoned assistance from statutory bodies
Meanwhile, station staff at Tai Wai displayed the Blue Screen to the dog in order to drive it away from the railway premises as per the Policy. However, the dog kept heading to Beacon Hill Tunnel and eventually reached Mong Kok East Station
When statutory body personnel arrived at the scene, their “dog-keeping” aid was somehow disassembled thus allowing the dog once again moved to New Territories along the track. The dog eventually left the railway premises at 1730 hours via Emergency Gates at trackside under station staff’s guidance
Engineers found no damages to the trackside fences upon inspection between Tai Wai and Fo Tan Stations. They suspected that the dog jumped onto the track from building materials stacked taller than the fences in a worksite near Route No. 9. The person in-charge agreed to lower the materials afterwards
