If No. 8 Gale or Storm Signal is expected to be issued / cancelled by the Hong Kong Observatory during office hours, MTR lines and Bus and Feeder Bus routes would commence peak services as quickly as possible until demand ceases

一旦受外來物威脅，或雨勢影響能見度，在列車全數駛離高架橋或地面後，東涌綫的列車服務會改為只限於「行車管道」範圍內

若鐵路服務因惡劣天氣而中斷，車站將提供飲用水、椅子、餅乾及小食供乘客等候，至列車恢復行駛為止。下列車站亦同時提供充電設施
Stations will remain open to provide drinking water chairs biscuits and light refreshments for passengers who are unable to continue their journey and wait until services resume. Charging facilities are also available at these stations:
