有關屯馬綫 6 月 28 日(星期一)晚架空電纜供電故障一事 A summary for power failure on Tuen Ma Line at 28/Jun (Mon) night

於約 2248 時,往烏溪沙方向的 WKS066 號班車於紅磡站開出,準備駛入何文田站時,駕駛室的電腦顯示列車的「集電弓」自動降下,代表列車與架空電纜的接觸點可能出現異常

同一時間,架空電纜的安全裝置啟動,使柯士甸至宋皇臺一段的牽引電流跳掣,列車車長即時通知車務控制中心處理,並將列車繼續駛往何文田站,以便讓乘客有序從月台離開車廂

車務控制中心再安排另一班列車停止服務後,接載車站職員檢查架空電纜的情況,他們發現剛性電纜(Overhead Rigid Conductor Rail)頂部的接地綫鬆脫

車務控制中心便將啟德至紅磡一段改為單綫雙程行車,讓工程人員搶修,並以維持全綫列車服務,確保乘客深夜能接駁其他行車綫和輕鐵路綫

及後,工程人員發現接地綫鬆脫乃由於有組件鬆脫所致,於剛性電纜上乃十分罕見,而此路段過去三年一直在有列車運作的情況下,亦未曾出現明顯的異常,因此工程人員會與電纜的法國生產商阿爾斯通,詳細了解事故起因,避免同樣問題再次發生

 

At about 2248 hours, in-cab displays on the Wu Kai Sha bound service WKS066 indicated that its pantographs had automatically lowered when the train was approaching Ho Man Tin Station, which might suggest irregularities at the contact points between the train and the overhead power lines

Safety devices of the overhead power lines were activated simultaneously and the traction current supply was tripped between Austin and Sung Wong Toi. The train captain immediately reported the situation to the Operations Control Centre and endeavoured to move the train to Ho Man Tin Station in order to let passengers to exit in an orderly fashion

The Operations Control Centre then took another train out of service and used it to carry station staff to inspect the overhead power lines. It was then discovered that the earthing wire that was usually atop the Overhead Rigid Conductor Rail had become detached

Single line traffic had been implemented between Kai Tak and Hung Hom by the Operations Control Centre. This allowed emergency repair to be carried out whilst maintaining train services across the entire line to enable connections with other running lines and Light Rail routes late at night

Engineers later found the cause of the issue to be the loosening of parts, which was something rarely seen on Overhead Rigid Conductor Rail. There had been no significant abnormalities during the past three years when trains had been operating at the incident section. As the next step, engineers will follow up the cause closely with the French manufacturer Alstom to prevent future re-occurrences

有關 2 月 6 日(星期六)東鐵綫的多次受阻情 Summary of the disruptions on East Rail Line throughout 6/Feb (Sat)

當日凌晨的非行車時間,東鐵綫順利改用新的 Trainguard MT 訊號系統,而首班「東鐵綫現代列車」亦如常開出

於 0700 時,YH0025 班車在上水站停止服務後,訊號系統未能安排列車到羅湖站調頭,列車車長重設車載電腦並由車務控制中心授權,中斷列車與行車訊號的連繫之後,便按傳統訊號燈的指引,駛離上水站

另外在約 0739 時,再有列車於上水站附近失去行車訊號,車務控制中心安排各班列車於車站月台稍作停留,以便工程人員進一步檢查系統運作情況,因而造成擠塞

至約 1605 時,訊號系統未能傳送車站職員放行列車的訊號,車站職員需要改用手號旗讓列車車長開車,各班列車再一次需要延誤開出

而在 1727 時,有列車駛到大學站附近時,連接架空電纜及車上機件的斷路器打開,之後亦進入「休眠」狀態,至車長將列車重新啟動為止。於 1806 時,另一列「東鐵綫現代列車」亦出然同樣的情況,列車最後在紅磡站停止服務

於 1900 時,一列「中期翻新列車」在旺角東站,因車門未能關上而要停止服務,而在行車時間結束前的 0009 時,亦有列車於大埔墟站因機件故障,而要停止服務

由於上述的情況,都未有於 2016 至 2020 年多種試車的情況發生,工程人員正與訊號系統承建商德國「西門子」,以及列車生產商韓國「現代樂鐵」跟進有關的情況

一旦訊號系統全面失靈的話,港鐵公司亦可以安排於 2 月 6 日(星期六)起的兩星期內,改用原有系統以及舊有車廂

During non-traffic hours that day, East Rail Line adopted the new Trainguard MT signalling system successfully and the first East Rail Line Rotem Train was dispatched

However, at 0700 hours, the signalling system was unable to let service YH0025 to depart for Lo Wu after terminating at Sheung Shui. The train captain eventually reset onboard computers and cut out all linkages between the train and the signalling system upon authorisation by the Operations Control Centre and used traditional signal lights’ guidance to leave Sheung Shui

At 0739 hours, trains were unable to receive proceed signal at Sheung Shui. Congestions began when the Operations Control Centre arranged all services to be held at platforms for engineers to further inspect the status of the signalling system

At 1605 hours, the signalling system was unable to relay train dispatch message made by station staff. Hand-signal flags were then used instead; services have been delayed yet again during this time

Then the circuit breakers on a train, which connected overhead power lines with components onboard, were tripped near University Station at 1727 hours. The train then went into “hibernate” mode until the train captain restarted it. The same situation occurred on another East Rail Line Rotem Train at 1806 hours, of which it was followed by a successful restart attempt. The train was then taken out of service at Hung Hom Station

At 1900 hours, a Mid-life Refurbishment Train was withdrawn at Mong Kok East when doors were unable to close properly. Another train was also taken out of service at Tai Po Market at 0009 hours, just before the end of traffic, because of a train fault

Situations like the above have never happened during the numerous train testings between 2016 and 2020. Engineers are now following up on these occurrences with the German signalling contractor Siemens and the Korean train manufacturer Hyundai Rotem

The MTR Corporation could switch back to and re-deploy the previous system and trains if the signalling system suffered total failure in the following two weeks from 6/Feb (Sat)

Stage 2.2

This scheme is applicable for students in Hong Kong aged 12 – 25 who attend their classes for not less than 20 hours each week during term time.

The Automatic Fare Collection system would only charge Student Privileged Fares from “Student Status” owners. While the “Status” feature is exclusive for Personalised Octopus cards, the definition of a certain “Status” may change according to the cardholder’s age or according to the social norm.

Therefore, qualified passengers are required to bring their form to any Customer Service Centre or Light Rail Customer Service Centre in order to activate their “Student Status” or get your school’s endorsement to prove your “Student Status” is still valid.

No forms and handling fee submissions are required if the valid period is more than 1 year since your last application.  Reminders are also displayed on Octopus Validators to show the expiry date of your “Student Status”, the date should be 31/Oct of different year in general speaking.  Please note that MTR Fare Savers are for “Adult Status” Octopus only.


You may submit your form and handling fee to any Customers Service Centre or Light Rail Customer Service Centre or collection boxes nearby. However, the following do not accept applications forms:

Students can submit electronic application forms online, pay the application fee and collect Octopus cards at designated counters. For students in primary schools, secondary schools, international schools and special schools can pay and extend “Student Status” in Octopus App after submitting the electronic form and receiving an email confirmation.
